Feeding the Hungry in Israel

“I know in my heart that man is good. That what is right will always evidently triumph. And there is purpose and worth to each and every life.”

— Ronald W. Reagan
The Israeli economy has lost over $12 billion (US) in the last four years alone due to terrorism’s devastating effects.  We can and must make a difference.

One in three children go to bed each night hungry (33.2%)

Over 700,000 children in Israel live under the poverty line, the largest number in the western world.

Since 1998, the number of poor children in Israel increased 50%.

The 2004 Poverty Report has indicated that:

  • The number of poor people living in Israel in 2004 is 1,534,000 – an increase from 1,300,000 in 2002.
  • 394,000 families live under the poverty line – 20.4% of all the families in Israel.
  • Thousands who survived the Holocaust are in great need of assistance… and food.
  • Families are bring uprooted from their homes, loss of jobs and fear daily for their lives.

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord…”  Proverbs 19:17

Help us feed the hungry in Israel by contributing toward our Monica Ruleman Campaign of Compassion fund.

Monica Ruleman

Campaign of Compassion

“Monica Ruleman Campaign of Compassion — Needs and Deeds for Israel,” sponsored by Love of Israel, is a capital campaign with the goal of raising one million dollars within the next year to feed the hungry in Israel. Through the Love of Israel, the Monica Ruleman Campaign of Compassion focuses on the following:

  • Provides funding to the Jaffa Institute to help to improve their standard of living for families…from poverty to productivity.
  • Thousands of  families, children and Holocaust survivors in Israel are fed daily because of your caring concern.
  • IDF Widows and Orphans receive our support and comfort in their time of great loss.
  • LOI funds the work of  Dr. Baruch Elitzur, Clinical Psychologist, President of From the Heart, who provides physiological assistance to Israelis traumatized from terrorist attacks.

Together, our support and love will bring tangible relief and show that we care, and are standing strong in support of Israel.

Support IDF Wounded

The Israel Defense Forces is the state of Israel’s military force. The goal of the IDF is to protect the existence of the State of Israel and its independence, and to thwart all enemy efforts to disrupt the normal way of life in Israel. IDF soldiers are obligated to fight, to dedicate all their strength, and even sacrifice their lives in order to protect the State of Israel, its citizens, and residents.

Help us in supporting the IDF wounded and their families.

Holocaust Survivors

Love of Israel provides assistance to as many as 3,000 Holocaust survivors in Israel who are impoverished, struggling with illness, or living alone.

Many Holocaust Survivors who were children and teenagers during World War II are now nearing the final season of their lives. We need your love and support to make a positive difference in their lives.
