STANDING AGAINST TERRORISM AND WITH ISRAEL!
David Ruleman

"A nation that cannot or will not defend its innocent children, women and men from being assaulted on a daily basis by rockets and mortars will not survive and probably should not survive. Israel turned over all of Gaza in 2005 so that the Palestinians could begin the so called 'two state solution'. The response from Hamas has been to reign down thousands of missiles and rockets upon the cities, colleges, hospitals, schools and homes of innocent civilians.

Before Hamas began the reign of terror from the skies, residents of Gaza attended some of the schools and colleges they attacked, and they still receive treatment from Israeli doctors in the hospitals they assaulted with rocket fire. Meanwhile, 1028 truckloads of humanitarian aid and 10 ambulances have been sent from Israel into Gaza, and more than 25 thousand tons of humanitarian aid since December 26, 2008. Israel provides for the innocent victims of Hamas rule inside Gaza, and in the process, no doubt, also provides for enemy combatants.

If we will not stand with our ally against terrorism like this, then we will not stand at all. If terrorists from some location near us were to have a philosophy of destruction, such as San Diego or Los Angeles, or any of our cities, and were subject to incessant rocket and mortar fire, we would respond with far less restraint than Israel has over the past four years. If we were to not respond, then we would not be functioning in a manner worthy of a free nation. Both Israel and the United States were founded upon principles that transcend politics but find their essence in the 'eternal rules of order' that the Father of our Nation spoke of in his First Inaugural speech.

The foundation of our national policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality. 'The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained...' (George Washington, First Inaugural, April 30, 1789)

We should stand with Israel as a matter of private morality as well as national interest. We should pray for Israel and work for real peace - peace that does not allow the rule of chaos and hatred to fuel terrorism, but peace that remains, peace that is the fruit of people that hold in high regard the 'eternal rules of order' and 'right which Heaven itself has ordained.'"
